Sciatic Nerve Pain

Sciatic Nerve Pain?

Here’s why you should consult the doctors at International Chiropractic.

Sciatica, or sciatic nerve pain refers to pain or numbness that starts in the back or the buttock region and shoots down the leg towards the foot. Sciatica usually occurs when the main nerve down the back of the leg (the sciatic nerve) is irritated or compressed in some way. The sciatic nerve can be compromised by a bulging spinal disc, spinal inflammation, scarring and soft tissue fibrosis, muscle spasm or bony spurring in the spine.

At International Chiropractic, we offer a wide variety of treatment options tailored to treat your specific problems, by tackling the back and leg pain at its root cause(s). In fact, our well-rounded approach allows us to successfully treat many cases of sciatica where other treatments have failed.

Active Release Techniques (ART) soft tissue therapy, joint manipulation, Cox Flexion-Distraction therapy, Activator low-force joint adjustments, Trigger Point therapy and other soft tissue therapies, postural retraining exercises and stretches are some of the most common approaches that we use in alleviating back pain, though if it’s ever apparent that you need treatment beyond what we can provide, we can refer you to one of the many other health professionals that we trust.

We provide relief for many types of back pain. If you suffer from sciatic nerve pain, you owe it to yourself to call us.
